Celebrity mom Jodi Sta. Maria proved that even will not show business CAN stop her from pursuing her dreams.
On Thursday, Sta. Maria finally graduated from high school at the Southville International School and Colleges.
In an interview with "TV Patrol", she disclosed that despite her busy schedule and a number of work commitments, she was able to finish high school responsibly.
“Hindi ako nakatulog dahil sobrang hinihintay ko itong day na ito. Dapat last year pa pero dahil sa mga delays, hindi natuloy ang graduation ko. So ito finally aakyat na ako ng stage,” said Jodi.
Sta. Maria return to is hoping to enroll in college this school year.
“Gusto ko mag-Bio, gusto ko mag-Pol Sci, gusto ko mag-Community Development. So bahala na. Iba rin talaga ‘yong natapos mo ang pag-aaral mo na napagsikapan mo talaga,” she mentioned.
Moreover, the actress said she never felt awkward if she was an even way older than her classmates.
“Kung iniisip ninyo na magiging problema ang edad, hindi. Hindi hadlang ang age sa pagtatapos ng school and basta kung ano ang gusto ninyong gawin, kung ano ang passion ninyo, go for it," she added.
Meanwhile, Sta. Maria's teachers and friends only have good words for her.
“Kulang lang ‘yan sa oras pero kahit diretso galing shooting, pumapasok ‘yan may itim itim pa [‘yong ilalim ng mata] pero ang mga homeworks parating tapos at inaayos,”Jodi's teacher said.
"Congratulations, Jodi. We are so proud. We are very happy for you, " said Jing Quinonez, one of the close friend of the actress.
