Classes on Tuesday due to Typhoon 'Falcon'?

In just following non-stop rains in large parts of Luzon due to 'Egay,' a Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster said it was up to school authorities to decide whether to suspend classes on Tuesday.

Ordinario said a Low Pressure Area (LPA) has been spotted at around 870 kms east of southern Visayas.

PAGASA said tropical depression 'Egay' was already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but the presence of this LPA and the continued effects of the southwest monsoon will still bring rains to sections of Luzon and Visayas.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said 'Egay' was last spotted 280 kilometers (kms) northwest of Laoag City or 320 kms west of Basco, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 55 km per hour (kph) near the center.

The weather disturbance was moving at a west-northwest direction at 20 kph.
